The St James's Club
History

Potential members should contact the General Manager (info@stjc.org.uk) or a member of the General Committee of the Club who will be happy to give advice and assistance. The General Committee of the St James's Club has set some high standards for membership.

This ensures that, if you are accepted as a member, you are surrounded by people who respect the traditions and ethos of the club as well as meeting likeminded business professionals.

Acceptance is based on criteria such as; Profession, Education, activities that affect the community, how much and for what purpose you will use the club, morals and values. These strict guidelines are in place to preserve the exclusivity of the club.

A candidate for election as a member must be proposed and seconded by two members who know the candidate personally. Either the proposer or seconder must have been a member of the Club for at least three years. At least two members should sign the candidate's book as supporters and a member of the General Committee should be included amongst the proposer, seconder or supporting members.
